Hello to all from the beautiful Queensland Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

It seems that Christmas arrives earlier every year but on the Sunshine Coast it has arrived in a special way. No big department stores – craft shops ablaze with their enchanting and wonderful ornaments for Christmas and New Year – which I can’t resist - beautiful flowers in abundance and the magnificent bird life, wow what a Christmas we look forward to!!

We feel so lucky to be in this location looking after our wonderful guests, enjoying a break from city life and retreating into the hinterland.

The area has so much to offer, if you want markets start with the fantastic Noosa Farmers Markets that are on every Sunday 7.00am – 12.00noon with wonderful produce from the local regions, another option is Yandina Markets every Saturday 7.00am – 12.00noon quaint, rustic with some of the freshest vegetables and fruit you’ll ever come across, plus plants galore – get there early before all the best produce disappears!

Edmundi Markets are an experience not to be missed – you name it they have it – fruit and veg, craftwork, unique clothing, just to mention a few wonderful things available.

All of these markets are fantastic for Christmas gifts or anytime of the year gifts, not to mention the quality local fresh food that can be purchased weekly.

Wonderful restaurants, picnic areas and places to wander. If you’re up this way we hope you enjoy a beautiful, friendly area that offers so much, in the hinterland but still so close to the coastline.

Ian and I wish all the best to you and your family for Christmas and look forward to sharing more of our new adventures in 2013.

Just preparing a sumptuous breakfast for our guests and looking out the window to see kangaroos bounding through the vineyards with a backdrop of hot air balloons taking off in the early morning mist – what a superb start to the day!

At the moment we’re enjoying a stint in The Hunter Valley, New South Wales.

What a wonderful community exists here, so open to new faces and of course there are the beautiful vineyards and restaurants, particularly The Beltree for casual Italian alfresco dining, don’t hesitate to explore this wonderful part of Australia, it is one job BedandBreakastSitters won’t forget for a very long time.

We’re also in charge of a gorgeous puppy – looking at me as I write this – suggesting it’s time for a walk, probably a good thing prior to greeting our guests tonight and sharing with them the numerous experiences to be had in this region.

Yet another reason we know we’ve made the right decision to offer our services to accommodation owners.

We’re passionate about each assignment, such a wonderful way to meet people and offer them the hospitality they deserve so they remember their stay for all the right reasons.

A few more weeks to go in the country and look forward to sharing our future experiences with you.

Tori and Ian
